The Poernaka mini ramp will no longer be Utrecht’s best spot to hide from the rain: no longer will Pieter and Poernaka welcome you with a fun mini ramp ,and if you are really soaked a warm cup of coffee. These guys recieved a letter stating what they have to do to be able to keep the mini ramp active. These goals are, without funding, unnatainable. So let’s make most of the ramp now we still can! So come down this saturday to the Poernaka ramp, skate the contest, party and the more you drink the more you give to the Red Cross (all proceeds go to the Red Cross)! Your hangover could prevent someone getting malaria! You drink, not because you want to: you have to! Falus, Familia Skateshop, 3FM and Poernaka sponsor the contest so you know it’s going to be a good one!

Rosh’s Rollend Holland entry. I don’t know where to start on pointing out the goodness: everyone knows how ill Rosh’s team is and how dope the shop is. So if anyone is around Rotterdam and is in need of some gear than visit Rosh and support Rotterdam’s finest!

Wallem has always been a notorious figure, but his fame and antics remained in our small little world. But not for long! Wallem is starting to become a public figure! Mark Richter uploaded the above video of Wallem getting a ticket and having to go downtown with one of Eindhoven’s finest police men. Obviously the officer overreacted and plenty of people share my opinion. This leads to Wallem being a guest on a local radio station and there are plenty of others interested in this event. For now I can only offer you Wallem’s radio guest appearance.

Nosa Ketting – crooked grind

This might become an annual update. Last year Rutger de Boer and I did not attend the Dutch Championships and instead opted for Amsterdam for some street skating and avoiding the rain and cold. This year it was still cold, but also pleasently sunny in Den Haag. I hooked up with the boys from Daily Business at Manus skateshop. From there we went to do some serious shredding.

When we got to this ‘wembley gap’, well known for those of us who went to see Daily Business at the Shoot Me festival, it got kind of busy.

Buddy Swinkels and I reminisced over the good old days at spui and the Games of Skate of years gone by. He also closed the day with this banging nollie fs heelflip.

Zev van Sluysdam put up his video ‘Zeker!!’ on vimeo. Although I still miss Tristan Koelewijn’s part, I’m really stoked to be able to see this video, as I like many others, couldn’t or just didn’t make it to the premiere. I have only seen Ricardo Paterno’s part right now and I can say that it is straight up amazing and knowing Zev from classic Dutch video’s as ‘Running Free’ and ‘City Limits’ I trust everything will be just as awesome. The video (including Tristan Koelewijn’s part) will also be broadcasted through Zev’s ‘Zeker!!’ website.

Nassim Guammaz – fs nosegrind

I had to be in Rotterdam, if only to switch trains, so I hooked up with Nassim Guammaz as he had the KFC rail on his mind. When we got there and before I could even switch lenses and Nassim landed a fs lipslide and a fs 5-0. Which I think is impressive, especially if you consider the hard winds that governed the spot. Eventually we got down to the business and Nassim landed his fs nosegrind. Fs noseblunt is still open for takers…

You might remember Visual Traveling from their video Translations. But they’re back with a vengance and are taking on one amazing route for a skate trip. Above you can see the trailer for the new video 10.000 kilometres and for the first time in ages I’m hyped on a trailer and cannot wait for the full length feature!
